Jane and I both the oldest sisters out of five girls in the Bennet family. We are both very happy young women that have decided that its time for us to leave Longbourn and live with our new husbands. We both got married to the men we both love and cherish.  Jane gets married to Mr. Bingley and lives with him at Netherfield. I also got married to Mr. Darcy the man I love and we live in Pemberley. Jane and I are very happy because we both found the right man, that has money, and can support us. It is hard to leave home, but it was time for us live outside of Longborun.

Me and Jane are still close to each other and tell each other everything. Jane and I live thirty miles apart from each other. I believe our mother and father are very happy that we have left the nest. My mother is happy because she has always wanted us to find a wealthy man and get married. We both had done as she said. It was hard for my father to see me go since we had a strong relationship with each other. My father would come and visit me and Mr. Darcy some. As time went on Kitty would spend some time with me and Jane. Our other sister Mary just would stay at home with our parents.and she would always have her nose in a book reading.  Every once in a while Lydia would write letters to me asking if Mr. Darcy and I could lend her and Mr. Wickham some money because they were in deep debt. Me and Jane accomplished our mothers life time goal for us to get married and find a man with money.

The Pros and Cons about Elizabeth Bennet

In the novel Pride and Prejudice  by  Jane Austen I became very attached to Elizabeth Bennet, but also there were parts I did not like about Elizabeth.  I liked Jane Austins character Elizabeth Bennet in many different ways.  In the book I liked how Elizabeth was different from the other girls. She was different because girls around that time period would have gotten married already and would have moved out of the house. I liked how Elizabeth waits to get married and she strongly believes that money does not buy happiness.  Elizabeth was the type of girl that wanted a marriage that was meaningful. She did not want to get married to a guy that she did not know. She wanted to get to know the guy first before marrying him. I like how she is strong, independent, straight-forward and honest type of girl. She is the type of girl that tells you how she really feels and what she thinks. She does not let other people rule her around. I like how she has confidence in herself and is patient. I also like how she is close to her dad in the novel. I believe  Elizabeth and I both have some similar personalities because we are both honest, strong, patient and are independent. She also set high expectations for herself also.  We both are the type of girls that wait to get to know the guy before dating or marrying him. There were other parts of Elizabeth Bennet that I do not like as her personality. I do not like how she is not very friendly to a lot of people. Elizabeth is a tough character to figure out at first, but she comes out of her shell at the very end of the novel of  Pride and Prejudice. I have learned alot about Elizabeth Bennet throughout the novel, I enjoyed the novel a lot, and I was inspired by Jane Austen's character Elizabeth Bennet.

I have many men that have asked my hand in marriage or just to date them. I am very picky about men and who I would like to date or even marry some day. I will never forget when my cousin Mr. Collins came into town to visit me and my family. He came to ask me and my sisters for their hand in marriage. He first asked my older sister Jane because she is the oldest. I remember Jane telling him no because she liked Mr. Bingley. Mr. Collins secondly asked me to have his hand in marriage. My reaction was no because I do not love him and he is my cousin. I know I probably should of married him because that would of made my mom very happy because I got married. I turned him down and said no. My dads reaction when I told him when Mr. Collins asked me to marry him. He said "I will never see you again, if you marry him" and my moms response was "I will never see you again if you do not marry him." That was the first man that has asked me to marry him.

The other man that has liked me was Mr. Wickham. I did not like Mr. Wickham because I believe he was after my family's money. Mr. Wickham was a poor man and did not have anything. He was mostly after money. Mr. Wickham moved on and my younger sister, Lydia liked him because he was a man from the Military. My sister Lydia ending up marrying Mr. Wickham. She shows him a lot of affection, but he does not show much to her because he just wants he money. The man that I did not care for was Mr. Darcy. He was a rich man that was snobby, and that was arrogant about himself. As I got to know Mr. Darcy and how he helped out Lydia and Mr. Wickham I started to like him because he was very caring and helpful. As time went on I began to like him and he liked me. Eventually me and Mr. Darcy got married. That was my experience for finding a man to marry. Theres a lot of guys out there, but theres one just for me and I had found him.

My Personiality

 Growning up with my four sisters we all have different personalities and how we views on different things.  A lot of people say I am alot different from my sisters. I am a straight-forward kind of girl. I am honest and I will tell you how I honestly feel about something.  I am very protective over my sisters. I type of girl that wants to have a meaningful relationship and  wants to get to know the guy first before I marry him. 
 I am very independent and I am strong too. When it comes to marriage out of us Bennet sisters we have different views.


Our moms goal in life for us is for us all to get a wealthy man and marry him. She wants us to move out of Longbourn.  All my sisters are always looking for a man to marry. My oldest sister Jane really likes this guy named Mr. Bingley and he is our new neighbor. He is a nice guy, and Jane ends up marrying Mr. Bingley because they both really like each other. One of my younger sisters named Lydia has always like the men in the Military uniforms. When she went with a woman to London to see her husband that was from the Military she fell madly in love with a man named Mr. Wickham. I personally do not like Mr. Wickham because he was poor and had no money. He was going for Lydia because he knew we had some money. Me on the other hand, I am probably the most complicated girl out of the Bennet daughters. I do not think marriage is thing that you should do right away. I believe it takes time and sure enough it does because I found the guy I was looking for. At first I did not like the guy because my first impression was he is rude, snobby rich guy, but it turns out he is a very nice guy. Now, I am married to the guy and his name is Mr. Darcy. Me and Mr. Darcy are both very happy being with each other. Love takes awhile but sure enough it will come eventually when you find the right guy. That's why my personality is different from my sisters.

My cousin Mr. William Collins came into town to see my family and I.  While he visited with us he went to the Netherfield Ball with with my family and I.  He is in town to visit us. While he is here he wants to inherit my dads estate. He knows that my dad is getting older and can not take care of it much longer. Mr. Collins also is looking for one of us Bennet girls to marry him so he can inherit the estate from my father.  He asks Jane if she would marry him and she says no because she already loves Mr. Bingley.  She met him at the Netherfield Ball. The next girl Mr. Collins ask to marry him is me and I told him no. I was really grossed out by Mr. Collins when he asked me to take his hand in marriage.

My fathers reaction when he found out that Mr. Collins wants to marry me and he said "Your mother will never see you again if you do not marry Mr. Collins and I will never see you again if you do"  Mr. Bennet was very happy that I did not marry Mr. Collins because he knows that I would not be happy with him or he would not be happy with his daughter me. He thinks Mr. Collins is crazy and does not know what he is doing. I did not want to marry my cousin Mr. Collins, so I said no although the right thing for me to say would be yes but I could not do it. That was my response to Mr. Collins when he asked me to have his hand in marriage. That was the time my cousin Mr. Collins asked me to marry him.

 At the night of the Netherfield Ball Jane meets Mr. Bingley.  Mr. Bingley danced with her all night. Jane really likes Mr. Bingley and he really likes her.  It was love at first sight.  Jane really wants to marry Mr. Bingley ,but I think Jane should wait and get to know him first.  My best friend Charlotte Lucas thinks that Jane should marry Mr. Bingley right away.  Mr. Bingley is a nice guy, he has a lot of money, and he can support her as my friend Charlotte thinks.

I personally think my sister Jane should wait to get married to Mr. Bingley.  She has only known him for one night, and she is in love with him. It was cute to see them dance together at the Netherfield Ball. He could not keep his eyes off of her. Jane can not stop thinking about him. I think Jane should wait to marry Mr. Bingley because she really needs to get to know him first of all and who he is as a person first. That was an exciting night for Jane when she danced with Mr. Bingley all night at the Netherfield Ball.
